The Hyatt Regency Jersey City, located on the Hudson River provides exquisite views of New York City and will be an incredible setting for the 21st Annual CCIS Conference. The PATH train, located right outside the hotel, offers a quick 5-minute ride to lower Manhattan and 15-minute ride to mid-town Manhattan. The Hyatt Regency has exercise facilities open 24 hours, an indoor heated pool, the Vu Restaurant and Lounge, the Business Center, and many other amenities. Many restaurants, a food court, and a convenience store are located near the hotel.

The deadline to receive the special CCIS rate for the following occupancies is February 15, 2010:

CCIS Board and Committee members are reminded that governance meetings take place from 1pm, March 9, 2010 through March 10, 2010, and they should make their reservations accordingly.

Both workshops are from 1-4pm on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 and the conference starts on Wednesday at 6pm and ends Friday at 1pm.

Pre-Conference Workshops Information
 
   
Orientation and Training: Using the Consortial Model  
Wednesday, March 10, 2010 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm  
This workshop is designed for new CCIS members and new staff of CCIS member institutions, and covers the mechanics of enrolling students in CCIS study abroad programs. Topics include: advising and orientation, granting academic credit, transcripting, processing payment, and issuing financial aid. This workshop is led by experienced international educators and provides an opportunity to ask questions and share information about CCIS programs.
Workshop fee: $50.00
 
   
Safety, Responsibility and Pandemic Planning in Education Abroad  
Wednesday, March 10, 2010 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm  
Safety and responsibility is examined in the context of liability, health and risk management for study abroad. An accompanying workbook will be provided. The workshop is led by authorities on international health and safety issues.
Workshop fee: $50.00
