Course Offerings
Language and Culture Program
The Language and Culture Program is ideal for students at any level of Spanish proficiency. Combining language and culture courses with a local homestay and cultural activities, this program is designed to help students improve their Spanish language skills and gain a greater understanding of Argentine culture.
During orientation at UB, students are required to take a language placement exam. Students in the beginning level enroll in Spanish language courses and cultural courses taught in English. Students testing at a more advanced level may also enroll in courses taught entirely in Spanish with other international students or in regular university courses with Argentine students.*
*Note: Students enrolling in regular university courses with Argentine students will be required to arrange an additional month of housing through their homestay (about $720) at the end of the semester.
During this 19-week program, students typically enroll in 3 to 4 classes, earning up to 19 semester (29 quarter) credits.
Intensive Language Program
The Intensive Language Program offers intensive language courses for students who wish to focus solely on improving their Spanish grammar, composition, and conversation skills. This program is open to students at any level of Spanish proficiency. The language courses, combined with a local homestay and cultural activities, are designed to help students develop their Spanish language proficiency.
